How does the game Sonic Heroes Puzzle work?

Puzzle game with Sega heroes Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. Your objective is to fit the blocks together and match them with the different characters to destroy them. Sonic will destroy the golden rings, Tails will destroy the chaotic gems of any color and Knuckles will destroy the orange and brown blocks.
