How does the game Must Escape The Island work?

Like the characters in the series Lost, you're trapped on an island after having an accident with your boat. The rocky outcrop seems to be hiding lots of mysteries, which you have to solve by clicking on the objects that appear on the screen and using them correctly if you want to fix your ship and get out of there alive.
